活動照片 Forum Photos 活動影片 Forum Video 敬愛的貴賓：您好！ 2008年適逢「世界人權宣言」60週年；聯合國訂定2009年為「人權學習年」；高雄市政府將2008年12月定為「高雄人權月」。我們深信人權是基本價值、決策工具及社會最大公約數，而政府治理的品質在乎人權價值的創能實踐。都市的任何展望必須植基於人權質感、公共安全與永續發展。 為發揚普世人權價值、支持全球民主人權運動，響應聯合國人權都市的運動；高雄市政府與台灣民主基金會謹訂於2008年12月10-11日，共同舉辦「人權城市．幸福人民： 世界人權宣言60週年回顧與展望」活動。高雄市立空中大學負責邀請國內外民主人權團體代表參加國際研討會，就國際人權當前面臨之挑戰與未來發展之契機進行國際經驗交流分享。 深化人權城市需要大家共同的努力，在此誠摯邀請您，共同參與這個人權盛會！ 高雄市市長 陳菊 敬邀 Our esteemed guests, 2008 is the 60th anniversary of the adoption and proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the United Nations has proclaimed 2009 as the Year of Human Rights Learning. Our city has also designated December 2008 as Human Rights Month of Kaohsiung. We are convinced that human rights is the fundamental value, the instrument for policy making, and the common divisor for the society, while the governance quality relies on the enabling and application of human rights values. Likewise, the prospects of a city will base on human rights eminence, public safety, and sustained development. To exalt global human rights value and support worldwide democratic human rights movements, we decided to respond to the United Nations’ initiative for human rights cities. Kaohsiung City Government and Taiwan Foundation for Democracy will joint force and hold a series of events titled “Human Rights City․Happy People -- The 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: Retrospect and Prospects” on December 10th-11th, 2008. The Open University of Kaohsiung will be inviting human rights advocates from international and domestic organizations to participate the International Human Rights Forum, with the goals to communicate and discuss on the international challenges and opportunities the human rights is faced nowadays. The reinforcement of human rights city will require efforts from everyone. We would like to issue our welcome and sincerely invite you to join us in this momentous and meaningful human rights grand event.
